Make the membership pay for itself
The fastest way to waste a subscription is to scroll endlessly and play the first 30 seconds of everything. Give each session a purpose. Pick one song for timekeeping,one for fills, and one just for fun. Record yourself once a week, even if it is only a phone recording, and listen back for tempo drift and spots where the groove loses confidence.
Use the original recording as a reference when you want to study the drummer’s choices. Then return to the drumless version and make your own choices. Copying a part can teach vocabulary. Creating a part teaches musicianship.
The right drum subscription does not replace lessons, discipline, or time behind the kit. What it can do is make every one of those hours feel more like playing music with a real band. Choose a song that scares you a little, count it in, and HIT THEM HARD!
